A New Perspective On The Holidays This Year pt . 1 of 3
I think being a December baby, Christmas as my favorite holiday was just inevitable. Had my mother not been induced early, perhaps I would have been born on Christmas Eve or Christmas Day.
Growing up in a close-knit family, holidays were very important. Oftentimes, 3 or more generations would gather together around my Grandma Smith’s heirloom table for a good, homemade meal and lots of conversation.
The holidays were a very cheerful time; never lonely. My grandparents’ house was the central hub for all family celebrations, and Thanksgiving and Christmas were the most exciting.
