The Writer’s Golden Rules

Writing is a tough market. For one, putting your poems out there to be critiqued by strangers is scary. It’s like putting your heart on a platter for all  the world to see.

Let’s remember we are all humans critiquing other humans:
1. Treat fellow writers with professionalism and respect.
2. When you offer feedback, do so without attacking the writer. Constructive not destructive criticism.
3. Don’t just offer correction. Make sure to include positive feedback as well!
4. Lastly, us writers need to not view one another as adversaries but, rather as friends and neighbors. We are all navigating this life together. Always be constructively critical and kind!
